Netflix releases first teaser for Tim Burton’s Adams Family series

Ahead of Geeked on Netflix next week, the streaming giant released its first look WednesdayThe series, produced by Tim Burton, is set in a world Addams family. The ad features Thing, the disembodied hand of the family, and looks like it would be a very scary sight for the world, with the Thing together and the teaser referring to Wednesday itself in an alarming way. Her daughter as she heads to school at Nevermore Magical Academy. It was previously confirmed that Yes Day’s Gina Ortega will play the titular Wednesday, with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman set to appear as her parents, Morticia and Gomez Addams.

when we talked to Wednesday Musician Danny Elfman last month praised Gina Ortega’s performance in the titular role, saying she’s the perfect actor for the role as Wednesday Adams.

“It’s really fun,” Elfman told us at the time. “I’m just trying to finish the second out of four episodes with Tim and the young actress playing Wednesday Adams, she’s really perfect, and her acting is perfect. It’s only Wednesday until the end and it’s so much fun.”

No other plot details or other potential engravings of Addams have been revealed outside of Morticia and Gomez, but the presence of the thing in the announcement likely indicates we’ll see more legends than previously expected.
